John Drury’s Fully Alive 360: Grow

This piece was created as an original score for John Drury’s Fully Alive 360 website. It was composed and recorded in single day while under the influence of a drug called Adderal, which was the first and last time I’d ever tried it. I magically taught myself how to play piano that morning, and ended up with this two-minute composition....

John Drury’s Fully Alive 360: Pretend

This piece was created as an original score for John Drury’s Fully Alive 360 website. It was the 2nd of two different compositions that I’d created after having magically taught myself how to play the piano while under the influence of Adderal....

Nowhere Men: Naked Lady

This song was produced by myself and a close friend named Frank Barry (featured on lead vocals) back in the winter of 2008. We had a girl named Jillan do the background vocals for us, and recorded and mixed everything using Sony Acid Pro. The song was written by Frank for his wife Michelle, … who apparently enjoys being naked (who doesn’t, right?)  ...

Yahwave: Touchy Feely

Nevermind: Skin

This is one of two songs that I intended to release on my “Nevermind” demo tape with by friend Frank before I went away to college. However, the band “Nirvana” came along and ruined everything when they released their debut album of the same name. So we ended up just scrapping the project. Boo!

Some Odd Reason: Scary Mary

This was the title track off my Debut album for my one-man band named “Yvan the Terrible’s Some Odd Reason”. I wrote the lyrics and played all the instruments myself (including the drums — which were painstakingly programmed using an Alesis HR-16 drum machine). I had my friend Roddy Lowell record the lead vocals, and had four of my other friends (Heath, Steve, Frank, and...

Some Odd Reason: The Generic Song

This is the track that never made it onto my debut album for my one-man band named “Yvan the Terrible’s Some Odd Reason”. I played all the instruments myself (including the drums — which were painstakingly programmed using an Alesis HR-16 drum machine). The song never made it on to the album because I couldn’t get anyone to do the vocals for me, and I wanted to...

This was the last track off my Debut album for my one-man band named “Yvan the Terrible’s Some Odd Reason”. I wrote the lyrics and played all the instruments myself (including the drums — which were painstakingly programmed using an Alesis HR-16 drum machine). It was intended to be recorded with vocals, but was published as an instrumental in the interest of completing...

IAPPHC: Green Eggs & Ham

I wrote and produced this song back in 1989 before I went away to college, and published it anonymously under the pseudonym “The Infamous Anonymous Preposterous Purple Hippopotamus Conglomerus”. I played all the instruments myself (including the drums — which were painstakingly programmed using an Alesis HR-16 drum machine) and I had my friends Roddy Lowell, Steve Doughty, and...

IAPPHC: The Cat in the Hat

This is the much delayed followup single from my Infamous Anonymous Preposterous Purple Hippopotamus Project. I recorded it in the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale’s recording studio while I was attending there. I’d intended to add vocals and a horn section to it, but lost interest about 3/4 of the way through, which is why it ended up as a mere instrumental. Oh well.
